In the absence of any practical experience in the area of ​​local financing and a voluntary culture, it has been a difficult job for defenders of women's rights to survive, let alone continue their daily activities. Some women's rights organizations have closed the relevant departments, such as public relations to minimize cost. These departments, before the CSP participated in dissemination programs and promotional activities that contributed to the demand for legal assistance services by women who are victims of domestic violence.

 

 

 

Most human rights organizations, including affiliated women, have left these unfavorable areas of the law and changed their programs and projects. In 2014, only 174 new CSOs were recorded, 158 CSOs were closed, including 133 involuntarily for the implementation of deceased projects due to lack of funds.

 

 

 

New hope for the rights of women osc?

 

In July 2018, the Office of the Federal Attorney General established an Advisory Council for Reform of the Justice of the 13 Members to address a matrix of serious problems, including the revision of suppressive laws, such as the proclamation of civil society. [1] This was followed by consultations among members of the Counseling of Justice Reform. This reform advisory committee includes women such as Meaza Ashenafi, Founder and Executive Director of the Association of Women's Attorneys Ethiopia (EWLA) who have expressed concern about the promulgation of the CSP.
