 How can a manager reward individual within the guidelines of a company without jeopardizing the company’s reward guidelines? There is not one suitable remuneration structure that is suitable for all industries and all organizations across a broad spectrum of businesses. What works for a certain company would not necessarily work for another company.  

The manager cannot force people to perform nor can he satisfy all their needs, but he is, however, able to create a motivating climate in which his employees are motivated to perform well and to experience job satisfaction (Coetsee, 2003:58).
