Competitor Solomon Barega won a 10 km crosscountry race in Spain

December 30/2015 (Walta) Competitor Solomon Barega won the 10 km crosscountry race held in Spain's modern city Elgoibar.

The 79th Juan Muguerza Crosscountry Title was held today.

In the 10kg men's race at the title, competitor Solomon Barega brought home the title with a period of 33 minutes and 14 seconds.

The competitor won by speeding up and splitting away from his rivals in the last kilometers of the race.

This is the second time that competitor Solomon Juan Muguerza has brought home the crosscountry title, he was the champ of the occasion in 2018.

The Ethiopian-Bahrainian competitor completed second and the Moroccan-conceived Spanish competitor Adel Mechal completed third.

Eritrean competitor Rachel Daniel won the ladies' 8 km race.

Kenyan competitor Edinah Jebitok came next and Winfred Yavi, a Kenyan-conceived Bahraini competitor, required second and third spot separately, ESA revealed.

The Juan Muguerza Crosscountry Title is a race held in memory of the late Spanish center distance sprinter Juan Muguerza in 1937.
