The moniker "Ali Birra" from the opening song "Bira Da Uncovered" was given to him to distinguish him from the other Ali, who also attends the meeting. Craftsman Ali Birra began his music vocation in 1954 by joining the customary music bunch "Afren Qolo" which means to advance Oromo music.
