In the first half of the 12th century, the center of the Power of the Christian Kingdom had changed even further to the south, to the Pasta region (a historic district in Ethiopia of the North Center). Since its Adela capital, members of the Saite dynasty (of whom this period takes its name), ruled on a kingdom that spread from a large part of the modern Eritrea to North and Central Ethiopia. While there is limited evidence about its capital, the churches of the labels, a city, which takes its name from the wise rule accredited with its founding stop as a testimony of the artistic achievements of this period.
